The Liebster Award

Yesterday I was nominated by the lovely Julie-Ann from Our Dreams Of Fashion Blog for The Liebster Award.

The Liebster Award is an award for new bloggers with less than 200 followers to welcome them into the blogging community. I am so thrilled and honoured to be nominated for this award, sometimes it feels like there are so many bloggers out there why would anyone want to read my blog but it is so lovely to be recognised.

The rules of the Liebster Award are as follows:

Facts about me:

- I am 23 years old  

- Starbucks is my all time favourite coffee shop

- I have a dog called Minnie

- I work as an events coordinator

- I have stolen this one from Julie-Ann but I too have also watched every episode of Friends and find myself quoting it throughout the day. I just love how you can apply everything that's ever happened in life to an episode of Friends

- Shortbread is my kryptonite

- I can't say no, I have been known to sign up for sky television, aa breakdown cover, credit cards, home insurance (I don't even own my own home yet!) and much more when walking through shopping centres because I feel so bad and guilty saying no to someone

- I cannot function until I have had at least two cups of tea in the morning and it has to be PG Tips

- I have different cups for different moods, I swear tea tastes different in certain mugs and cups :)

- I have been with my boyfriend Nick for 7 whole years

- New York is my favourite city in the world!

Julie-Anns' questions:

-What do you love most about blogging?

Having my own little corner of the web to voice my opinions and write pretty much whatever I like. Also, meeting some fabulous people along the way!

-Who is your ultimate style icon?

This is a toughy! I have quite a few different style icons that I like, I love Mollie King, Sienna Miller, Victoria Beckham, Lauren Conrad and Sam Faiers to name a few but my ultimate style icon has of course got to be Marilyn Monroe. She is just so incredibly beautiful, in any photograph she looks so happy and comfortable within her own skin. She is just a role model for any woman.

-Favourite high street store?

Hmm, I have a couple of favourites but my all rounder has got to be ZARA. I just love all of their clothes, shoes, bags and jewellery and find their prices really quite reasonable most of the time.

-Favourite book?

Honestly, I don't particularly have a favourite book but my favourite author is Sophie Kinsella. I love her books.

-Describe your style in three words?

Simple, monochrome, girly

-Your holy grail beauty product?

Clarins Extra-Comfort Anti-Pollution Cleansing Cream, it has been a part of my skin care routine for as long as I can remember. I absolutely love this product and often bulk buy from the fear that it will get discontinued one day.

-What are you favourite blogs?

My favourite blogs tend to be beauty focussed, at the moment I really love Belles Boutique Blog, From Roses Blog and Sarah Loves Makeup Blog. 

-Your favourite perfume?

This has got to be Chanel Mademoiselle. I just love it and it is my signature scent, my boyfriend buys me this every year for my birthday.

-Name the five people (dead or alive) that you would love to invite to your dinner party?

Ooh now this is interesting, the first would have to be Martin Luther King. I find him so inspirational and I'm sure he would have some amazing tales to tell. Secondly, obviously Marilyn Monroe as she is my style icon and I would love to get a few tips from her. Thirdly, Ryan Gosling because...well I think that's pretty obvious :) Fourthly, Freddie Mercury, my dad brought me up around this type of music and I absolutely love it, it just reminds me of my childhood, I would love to listen to him sing a few songs. Lastly but not at all leastly is Michael McIntyre just to lighten the mood and tell a few jokes. I find him hilarious!

-Your summer wardrobe essentials?

Flip flops of course! I absolutely live in my Havaianas throughout Summer. A Breton top because you can dress it up or down and looks great with a pair of denim shorts. And lastly a kimono, when it gets a little chilly at night time it is always handy to have something you can just chuck on to keep you a little warmer but also still look stylish.

-Where do you hope to be in five years time?

Hopefully have my own house with my boyfriend Nick. Maybe married and settled in my career. I would also love to be successful with my blog.
