Caudalie Beauty Elixir

The Caudalie Beauty Elixir is something that I have heard so many mixed reviews about. I really quite like facial mists and swear by the Body Shop Vitamin E Face Mist so was really quite intrigued by this spray, so it only seemed natural to try this when I had a discount code to use on FeelUnique.com.

It contains ingredients such as rosemary, orange blossom, mint and rose. The spray claims to help smooth fine lines, tighten pores and give a glowing complexion. The spray can be used after cleansing and before applying moisturiser as a toner step or it can also be used throughout the day on top of makeup to freshen yourself up. There is a pretty strong smell to this spray, it's quite a herby smell of mint, which if I'm honest I really didn't like. I don't mind a subtle scent to water sprays but this is quite overpowering and off putting.

With the claim that this product will tighten pores, smooth fine lines and give a glowing complexion I was super excited to try this out but honestly I just found that it really dried out my skin and it certainly did not give my complexion a glow, if anything it made my skin really dull from drying it out so much. It did feel very fresh on my face just after spraying but that feeling soon went and my face just felt really tight and dry afterwards. In fact I am actually convinced that this spray caused me to break out, as the moment I stopped using it my skin started to clear up and also the tight feeling and dryness also went.

Honestly, after reading so many great reviews about this product I must say I was/am really disappointed. I think this is one product that people either love or hate and for me unfortunately I am bordering on the hate level.

Have you tried the Caudalie Beauty Elixir? What do you think of it?

  1. It's a shame that a product so hyped up didnt work for you. If it dried out your skin I will definitely be giving a miss as that's the last thing my skin needs right now x

  2. That's so sad that it didn't work out for you! I'm thinking of trying this, but I'm kind of worried that I'll end up hating it too!
