H&M Makeup Brushes

Can I just start by saying look how pretty! The moment I saw these brushes in store I just had to get them mainly because rose gold does something to my brain where I cannot walk away without purchasing.

In all seriousness though, these brushes are really quite impressive. From top to bottom we have a kabuki brush, double ended foundation and powder brush, double ended smokey eye brush, large eye shadow brush and a powder brush.

Kabuki Brush: To be completely honest, I have never been one for a kabuki brush, I just don't particularly see the point in them as I would rather just use a powder brush but this kabuki has completely transformed my opinion on this. The brush is perfect for overall powder coverage and bronzer, H&M do advise you can use for blusher but in all honesty I prefer to use a blusher brush as I think this gives you more control. I really love this brush and have been using it with my MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Powder, it gives a lovely flawless airbrushed effect. It picks the powder up really well and evenly distributes all over so you don't get a heavy patch of powder on the first application.

Double Ended Foundation and Powder Brush: The foundation brush is a flat rounded shape, I tend to prefer this shape of foundation brushes rather than stippling brushes etc as I just think it gives a nicer finish. The brush is really soft and flexible so allows you to get into all the nooks and crannies. The powder brush end is perfect I find for blusher, it has quite a flat top to it so you can apply blusher easily just to the apples of your cheeks.

Double Ended Smokey Eye Brush: This brush is intended to be used for creating a smokey look but personally I prefer to use the angled end of the brush to fill in my eye brows and use the wider stubbed end alongside the individual eye shadow brush for applying eyeshadow on the lower lash line.

Eye Shadow Brush: This is a lovely fluffy eye shadow brush, I have really been enjoying using this brush for all over the lid shadows. It picks up just the right amount of product and with one sweep the whole lid is covered.

Powder Brush: This brush is perfect for highlighting powder or a nice shimmer powder over your decolletage, it picks up just enough product to give a lovely sheen. The bristles are really soft so help to create a naturally light, soft focus effect.

All the brushes contain synthetic bristles giving a super soft feel on the skin, they are also really easy to clean with being synthetic. Overall I absolutely love these brushes, they look great and also feel great and do the job better than most of my more expensive brushes, not naming any names. Also, these are an absolute bargain with prices around £2.99 for the eye shadow brushes and approximately £7.99 for the powder and foundation brushes (I can't remember the exact prices).

Have you tried the H&M makeup brushes? What do you think of them?
