Day 24 Christmas Countdown - Gift Wrapping

So this is the last of my Christmas Countdown post, I hope you have enjoyed reading them as much as I have enjoyed doing them.

There is something I absolutely adore about wrapping presents, I love sitting on Christmas Eve wrapping my presents with Michael Buble Christmas Album playing in the background or a cheesy Christmas film on.

When it comes to gift wrapping I like to go all out. Bows, ribbon, raffia, glitter...the whole sha bang. I pick up a lot of my gift wrapping from places such as supermarkets, Hobbycraft, Next...Next do some lovely wrapping paper sets which come with ribbon and labels etc. I also love Paperchase, M&S and John Lewis. The best and most effective gift wrapping, I think, is plain brown parcel paper and then decorated to the hill with all different colours.

I like to mis match a lot of colours and textures to give an interesting and fun experience to the person I am giving my gift to. My biggest bug bear is when people use really thin wrapping paper which is obviously from 5 years ago, sellotape is everywhere and there is just obviously no thought gone into it whatsoever. I think you can have a lot of fun with wrapping presents and making everything look pretty.

How do you decorate your presents? Do you use extra ribbons and bows are you a minimalist and just use wrapping paper or gift bags?
