#4 Sunday Sounds - Getting That Faux Glow

So it's January and everyone's depressed that they don't have any money, your skin is rubbish from all the alcohol you drank throughout December and the sun is just non existent. So giving a little healthy Summer glow to your skin is just what the Doctor ordered and these are my favourites products to help me achieve it.

First of all a good illuminating primer is key. This Dior Glow Maximiser primer is one of the best and just makes your skin look incredible. Once you have perfected your base it is time to highlight and my two current favourites are this L'Oreal Lumi Magique Highlighting Pen and ME ME ME Gold Liquid Highlighter which FYI is a great dupe for Benefit Moon Bean. I like to highlight under my eyes, on my cheek bones, along the bridge of my nose, on my brow arch and on my forehead just in between my eye brows. These two liquid highlighters are perfect for achieving that highlighted look. I tend to use liquid highlighters on everywhere but my cheek bones. On my cheek bones I prefer to use a powder highlighter and this Soap & Glory Glow All Out Luminizing Powder is perfect for just that. The powder itself is very finely milled so it doesn't give great big lumps of glitter on your face more like a subtle shimmer that just catches the light nicely. I just sweep this over my cheeks and voila. Lastly as a blush/bronze in one I use MAC Warm Soul, this has such a nice warm shimmer to it and golden colour so is perfect for the cheeks.

I love the glowing dewy look to my makeup so these are pretty much my every day staples, I would love to hear if any of you have any recommendations.

  1. I love the glowy look no matter which time of the year it is, it just makes your face look so much healthier. I really want to try the MAC blush in warm soul!
I would recommend the Bobbi Brown shimmer bricks, it's kind of like a blusher and highlighter in one as well!

    1. It's just one my favourite blushes for all year round, looks great in Winter to add that bit of warmth and glow and also in the Summer to give a more bronzed effect xxx
