KIKO Haul

So I went a little mad on the KIKO site a month or so ago and bought these few little beauties and thought I would just do a little haul post and give my first impressions.

So going from left to right, I bought 2 shades of the Mystery Smokey Eye Pencil. I got shades 02 - Extraordinary Sapphire and 06 - Powerful Burgundy. I am loving these pencils at the moment, I normally just always wear brown and black eyeliner so it's really nice to have a different option. The pencils are really soft so don't drag the skin and they are super pigmented. I've been liking the burgundy one with a plum smokey eye and the sapphire on just to liven up a normal dark shadow. I really quite like these pencils and may buy some more colours within the range, the only thing I wish was different was no being an actual pencil that you need to sharpen. I much prefer screw like pencils that you just twist the bottom to get more product but this is just nit picking.

Next I got a couple of eye shadows. I got shades 226 Matte Coral Rose and 229 Metallic Golden Camellia and honestly these look nothing like what they did on the website. The actual shadow is lovely and really buttery and pigmented but I haven't worn either yet as I just don't the shades in the pan. I am really quite disappointed with the shades as they look completely different and now I feel like I don't want to buy any other shadows in case the colours aren't anything alike. I can't comment yet on the durability and longevity of the product as I haven't even worn them yet.

And lastly I got, these two lip markers as I thought they were a little bit different in shades 104 Deep Pink and 105 True Red. I have worn them both a couple of times and quite like the colours but they seem to bleed quite a lot so a lip liner is essential with these. The red is really a great red shade, it is quite pale and pinky which don't get me wrong I actually really like the colour but if you are wanting a true vibrant red then this won't be for you.

Overall I have mixed feelings about this haul, I absolutely love the eye pencils, not so sure about the lip markers and am really disappointed with the eye shadows. I would like to try a few more bits from KIKO at some point so if any of you have any suggestions or recommendations then please let me know.

  1. I am a big lover of KIKO and if you look on my blog you will see lots of hauls...but I have just gotten the lip marker and I wasn't a fan either as they say they are long lasting but it didn't on my lips. I love the normal lipsticks, foundation, nail polishes and lots of other things, so don't give up on them :)

  2. The lip markers look so pretty in those shades! I just did a bit of a Kiko haul myself recently, could have easily bought almost everything (and it was hard not to)...

    1. The shades are lovely, it's just a shame that they bleed quite badly xx
