Guest Post with Not In These Shoes

Hi all, today I'm bringing you a guest post from Rebecca at Not In These Shoes. I have followed her blog since starting my own blog and just absolutely love it so naturally I was overjoyed when she agreed to be this months guest on Dreaming Pretty. So without further ado take it away Rebecca...

Hi lovelies.  My name’s Rebecca and I blog over at Not In These Shoes.  Amanda has kindly asked me to do a guest post on her blog, so I wanted to share with you all what’s currently in my daily make up bag…

I usually switch it up fortnightly so that I can re-discover golden oldies, but since getting back from holiday I’ve been sticking to the same bits for achieve my day look, which is typically a simple bronze base and long lashes.

I’ve been using the Maybelline The Eraser for my under eye circles and really like it.  Depending on my face tan I switch between nude and Light. The coverage is really buildable and just helps me look human!

A recent addition to the daily make up bag, Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer is now a firm favourite. Creamy, blendable and a decent coverage, I’ve been using this around any nose redness I’ve had.

Maybelline Matte Maker powder is my favourite sub-£5 powder as I find it does the job and has a good colour pay off – some I’ve tried end up really chalky on me.

I’ve been trying to keep away from foundation unless I’m going “out out”, just to try and improve my skin. My go to choice is L’Oreal True Match, as the colour selection and finish are amazing.

If I don’t want to go for a coloured powder, I’ve also been using Soap and Glory One Heck Of A Blot, or my favourite Bourjois Rice Powder (which smells AMAZING!).

For contouring, Sleek’s Medium Face Form palette has been my choice.  I think the quality and colour pay off of their products is really great – especially for the price! The bronzer is matte and cool toned, and the champagne highlighter is really pretty.  I don’t use the blush that often, but it’s nice to use if I’m not going in with the highlighter.

Bourjois Maxi Delight has overtaken their chocolate bronzer in my favourites.  It’s great for adding warmth to the face and cheeks for a simple bronzed day look.

I’ve never really been in to cream blushes, but decided to dig out Revlon’s Photoready cream blush in Coral Reef from the collection and give it a go on holiday…  I LOVE IT!  Applied with my Real Techniques Stippling Brush, this adds a natural warm colour to the face.  A little goes a long way and it lasts all day, which is amazing.  I can also pop a little on the lips if I want a bright pout!

I’ve recently swapped my eyebrow product of choice to a Natural Collection eyeshadow in Crushed Walnut.  This is one of the most natural colours I’ve ever used on my brows.  I will be doing a full review over on my blog soon, so I don’t want to say too much… but it’s love!

Maybelline Master Drama Eyeliners are amazing and don’t budge all day.  I’ve been switching between black and brown, depending on the look I’m going for.  They apply really easily too, so there’s no eyelid dragging! I just can’t pick between these two, so they’re always in my make up bag.  Bourjois 1 Second Volume is great for high impact lashes and, as the name suggests, lots of volume!  Maybelline Lash Sensational is amazing for separating and curling the lashes making them super fluttery!

Lip products are the ones I swap around the most/use what is in my handbag. I’ve always got a lip liner and lipstick in my make up bag and always keep them neutral as it goes with every look. Rimmel’s East End Snob is a beauty blogger essential!  It just gives you amazing lips the minute you line them, it’s safe to say I will always have one of these on the go now it’s in my life!

Another Natural Collection bargain is their Moisture Shine lipstick in Biscuit.  It’s a perfect natural lip colour and considering it’s only £1.99 the colour pay off is really good.

I love having a snoop in to other people’s daily make up bags, so hopefully you enjoyed looking through mine!  Come and say hi on my Twitter or blog and let me know what’s in your daily make up bag!

Thank you again to Amanda for having me xxx
