Soap & Glory Make Yourself Youthful Serum

Today I'm talking about this serum, I used to be a big fan or Soap & Glory skincare but recently I seem to have drifted away and been quite disappointed with a couple of their products. Their body products on the other hand is another story.

I picked this serum up on a whim in Boots one day as I was desperate for a new serum and saw this in the 3 for 2 offer and thought why not. On first impressions, I love the packaging. It's really sleek and looks great stood on my dressing table, it's reasonably travel friendly as it's plastic (but kinda bulky) and it has a pump top which is a must for me for skincare as I just find it more hygienic. It has a lovely peachy scent to it which is really refreshing but still subtle enough to not overpower you. The serum itself is quite a thick consistency, one pump gives a good splodge of gel which is enough to suffice for the whole face. It is promoted to make skin look younger and feel smoother/firmer in 30 days. Honestly, I don't agree with this statement. Don't get me wrong there is absolutely nothing wrong with the product but I just don't feel like it benefited my skin in any way. It did well at hydrating my skin before applying my daily moisturiser but I just didn't see any noticeable difference in my skin after using it. I've seen a lot of reviews of this product that are singing its praises like it's some sort of miracle product but for me it didn't really do much. There's nothing wrong with the product whatsover and it obviously works really well for some people but for me, not so much. I rely a lot on serums to give my skin the hydration it needs rather than my moisturisers as my t zone can get shiny throughout the day so I don't use heavy moisturisers and this just didn't impress me enough sadly. I like my skincare to actually make a difference and improvement to my skin and whilst this didn't do anything wrong it also didn't benefit my skin either. I'm glad I tried it but I won't buy it again.

Have you tried this serum? What do you think of it?

  1. Such a shame it seems to be a miss. I definitely won't be trying this now.
