Super Facialist by Una Brennan Cleansing Oil

I've always heard so much about this brand but never got round to trying anything from the range so when I was in Boots the other day I picked up this cleansing oil to try as my other one was running low.Firstly the scent of this cleanser is just, heaven. It smells like fresh oranges, actually it smells exactly like the Body Shop Satsuma Body Butter, it literally smells like 500 oranges have been squeezed into it. It is much heavier in consistency than I tend to like my cleansing oils to be, I use oils straight on top of my makeup and massage in to dissolve my makeup so I like them to be little lighter feeling. Nevertheless I really like it. It dissolves makeup effortlessly, granted it does take a little while to remove, more so than my usual cleansing oils because it is heavier in consistency but this doesn't bother me as I like to spend my time over my cleansing routine; but for those of you that don't like to take long removing your makeup then this maybe isn't for you. It leaves my skin feeling really clean but not stripped or squeeky clean as I call it. The only niggle I have with this product is the heavy scent, yes it does smell absolutely amazing but I personally prefer my skincare products to be lesser scented purely because of my dry skin. Saying that, this hasn't affected my skin whatsoever so it really doesn't matter I suppose. But it's just personal peference at the end of the day, I could literally sit and sniff this oil until the cows come home as it smells so delicious but that doesn't necessarily mean I want my skincare to smell nice. All in all, I do really like the oil, it removes my makeup easily and leaves my skin feeling fresh and soft. Would I re purchase it? Probably not if it wasn't for my beloved L'Oreal Cleansing Oil is up there on a pedestal and it's going to take some beating to knock it off. Have you tried this oil? What do you think of it?

  1. I’m not a massive fan of this oil, I actually passed mine onto my little sister. Have you tried the Body Shop cleansing oil? I much prefer it, although it works best when used with a muslin cloth.

  3. I love the Super Facialist range but I've never tried this out before! I'm a huge fan of the rose oil, which I've used as a pre-cleanse in the past, I'd definitely recommend it :) xx
