Rimmel Nude Collection by Kate Moss

So the very much anticipated Rimmel Nude Collection by Kate Moss has now been released into stores and let me tell you it is pretty darn dreamy. I picked up two shades of the lipstick and one of the nail polishes.

So firstly lets talk lipstick. The idea behind the lipsticks is to have a small number of different shades that will suit a variety of different skin tones, meaning that everyone should be able to find a shade that will match them perfectly. I don't know about you but I really love it when brands have certain products that are targeted to pale skin tones or brunettes etc, I just instantly buy into it. So I picked up shades 45 Rose Nude and 48 Dark Nude. I always go for rosey toned lipsticks as they always suit my skin tone perfectly and the darker shade, 48, is meant to match all skin tones; plus it was such a pretty shade that I couldn't resist buying it, it will be perfect for the more winter months. The lipsticks themselves are really creamy and not at all drying on the lips so sit perfectly with me and are also really well pigmented. In terms of lasting power, they are of a more creamy formula so naturally won't last as long as a matte lipstick for example but I can get a good couple of hours out of them. And topping up isn't a problem as they aren't drying at all.

For the nails, I picked up shade 129 Sensual Spice which is a really pretty and warm chocolately shade. It also has a really pretty shimmer to it. For me, I love a good nude nail. It always just matches my skin really well and they go with pretty much any outfit whatsoever. The collection uses the Salon Pro with Lycra formula which is meant to give an almost gel like finish that dries quickly (a must for nail polish) and a chip free promise. So again similar to the lipsticks, the idea is to pick the shade depending on your skin undertones so whether you have cool or warm undertones.

I am in love with these products, not only are the products really great quality but they also look super pretty on my dressing table. Have you tried any of these products?

  1. I haven’t tried any of the lipsticks yet, but I definitely will at some point. I have only just got my hands on one of the Maybelline neutral shades that I’ve been after for a while now!
