The Forgotten Favourites

So we all have them, those products that were once loved but end up getting pushed to the back of the cupboard for one reason or another...new products come along, we fall out of the routine of using them or we just simply forget to use them. We're all guilty of it so I thought I would bring you my forgotten favourites.

First is the the No7 Electric Cleaner, there was a time when I loved this thing. I used it religiously every week, mostly on a Sunday, but for some reason one week I didn't use it and then simply fell out the routine and never got back into the routine. This was actually a really effective cleansing tool, I noticed when I was using this my skin became a lot clearer and dry patches slowly but surely started to disappear. Now that I have re discovered this I will definitely be starting to use it again.

Elemis Rehydrating Toner. I love this stuff, I can just never remember to use it. It's one of those where I do my whole skincare routine and squirt my facial oil into my palms ready to slap onto my face and realise I haven't toned. It's now too late. So I think oh I'll use it tomorrow and I never do, I always forget.

Next is facial scrubs, I know I need to use them and when I do remember to use them I always see a difference in my skin. I think it's because I've got such a strict skincare routine that I just forget to include them. Also, I've never really found 'the' perfect facial scrub, if I had one that I really loved and enjoyed using I'm sure I would use it more often so if any of you have any recommendations then please let me know them.

Eyelash curling. Need I say more. If I'm honest I don't really even know how to use these, like do I use these before mascara, after mascara, do you curl right at the bottom of the lashes or half way up the lashes. There's too many unanswered questions. I never remember to use these and I even keep them on my dressing table for all to see and I still forget.

Lastly, false eyelashes. I have enough pairs of false lashes to open my own shop, as my mum would say, but I never remember to use them. Hands up I'm not the best at applying them and they end up falling off half through the night so part of me just thinks well they're not gonna last the duration so why apply, but then my friend uses them all the time and they never fall off which makes me think I'm just not applying them correctly. I don't even pay false lashes a second thought now, I just completely skim past them and forget all together to even consider applying them. If any of you have any tips for application or recommendations for ones that look quite natural then please let me know.

Since writing this post I have vowed to use the above more often and make more of a conscious effect to use them. I mean I paid for them so I may aswell use them right.

What are your forgotten favourites?

  3. I never remember to tone either, but I absolutely can't do my makeup without my eyelash curlers! FYI I use them before mascara, squeeze once at the base (as close as I can get anyway) and then once more halfway up for a kind of double-curl :) I definitely notice a difference when I don't use them!
