The Body Shop 'Spa Of The World' Collection

The Body Shop is quite easily one of the most well loved brands within the UK. With their range of bodycare, skincare and makeup aswell as their natural ethos and not testing on animals it's hard to find a reason to not like the brand. Well here's another reason, a newly launched collection of indulgent spa inspired products designed to give you that spa like experience in the comfort of your own home. Packaged in deep amber casing and sleek black lids these products are really something special for the eyes and will look seriously luxurious on my dressing table. All the products contain a whole host of skin friendly ingredients which have all been naturally and ethically sourced from countries all over the world.

The collection consists of the below:

-Egyptian Milk and Honey Bath Milk
-African Ximenia Scrub
-Dead Sea Salt Scrub
-Moroccan Rhassoul Body Clay
-Himalayan Charcoal Body Clay
-Japanese Camellia Cream
-Hawaiian Kukui Cream
-Polynesian Monoi Radiance Oil
-Tahitian Orchid Massage Oil
-Thai Lemongrass Massage Oil
-French Lavender Massage Oil

I recently picked up the Himalayan Charcoal Body Clay and the Polynesian Monoi Radiance Oil. Both products really caught my interest and attention as I don't currently have anything like this in my beauty cupboard.

The Himalayan Charcoal Body Clay is completely unlike anything I have ever owned or tried so I was really excited to give this a go. First of all this stuff smells ah-mazing, I can't quite make out what it is but there's definitely some tree tea or lavender going on in there. In terms of application, I was very pleasently surprised. I was expecting it to be quite stiff and hard to work into the skin but it was actually really smooth and easy to apply. The charcoal is from the Himalayas in Asia and is meant to be known as an ancient beauty secret amongst the local women to draw out impurities from the skin. I applied the mask literally from neck to toe, I genuinely looked like something out of some wierd science fiction film. After applying, the clay doesn't feel chalky or dry in the slightest on the skin and neither does it crack, it's so soft and just feels really gentle. It applies as quite a dark grey shade and dries to a light grey which indicates that it is time to remove from the skin. This made my skin feel so incredibly soft, like my skin has felt soft before but never like this. I will just say though that the next couple of days after I applied the clay all the crap and rubbish that must have been in my pores kept coming out, which sounds seriously gross, but it obviously shows that it has worked so I just gave my skin a good scrub for the following nights to make sure all the impurities and rubbish were out of my pores and skin. I have to say, I love this stuff, it's unlike anything I have ever used and it is now a staple product in my weekly bodycare routine.

Then to follow the body clay I use the Polynesian Monoi Radiance Oil. Used by the women of the Pacific Islands it's a blend of coconut oil and fragrant tiare flowers...this stuff literally smells of holidays. The oil can be used on the body and hair without making it feel greasy or sticky. I have also been using the oil on my cuticles at night time and a great tip is to use it for shaving the arm pits. I have also used it a couple of times as a bath oil. It leaves the skin looking so incredibly glowy and healthy, it absorbs pretty much instantly so doesn't leave any residue or tackiness behind. I absolutely love this oil, anything oil based I am always on board with, but this just takes it to the next level.

Both products are great to use on a night in when you've got the house to yourself and you can just relax with a good bottle of wine and a book. They're real pamper products so I wouldn't use them every night as it would take the magic and luxury out of the products slightly so I'm saving these for those girly nights in or on a Sunday evening before the week ahead.

I will most certainly be picking up a couple more items from the collection in the near future and would recommend that you lot do the same. The collection is very reasonably priced for the quality of product that you are getting and I promise you you won't be disappointed.

  1. I feel like The Body Shop have really up their game with their packaging recently and these products look and sound amazing! The body clay sounds so interesting and this is not the first review I've read that sings its praises. The oil sounds like it has so many uses too, I definitely need to pop in my local store to check out this new range :) x

  5. There really isn’t a how-to manual for cricket betting, since the bets are placed on unpredictable events. Like that’s the whole point to betting anyway; an attempt to predict the unpredictable.

  9. There are definitely a lot of things like that to remember. That is an excellent thing to bring up. I give the above thoughts as general inspiration, but there are obviously issues like the one you raise where the most important thing would be acting in good faith.
