#36 Sunday Sounds - Current Skin Saviours

Recently I've been trying out loads of different skincare products and to be quite frank I don't know why I do it to myself, it always ends up with my skin going completely haywire but being a beauty blogger means I have to test out the items that I'm reviewing for you guys because I want to give an honest opinion. So to combat this I have a small number of products that I turn to to get my skin back to where I want it.

First up is the Clinique City Block Sheer SPF 25. Now I only very recently reviewed this product but I have been using it every single day and am just completely smitten. My skin is dry, dehydrated and sensitive at the best of times so when I'm trying out loads of skincare and something doesn't quite agree with me my skin has a tendancy of breaking out and going really red and sore; so when this happens I always think my skin needs that extra bit of protection than normal which is why I have been loving this so much recently. It gives great protection when I need it and it's just overall a lovely product.

Then we have the Sarah Chapman Intense Hydrating Booster. Sarah Chapman is fast becoming one of my most favourite skincare brands. All of the products that I own from the brand are so luxurious and perfect for my skin type. And this serum is no exception. It is seriously hydrating which is exactly what my skin is in need of at the moment. I use this on a daily basis as my evening serum and every morning I wake up I amazed the results. My skin is guaranteed to look plump, healthy and glowing every time I use this.

Another serum like product that I use is the This Works No Wrinkles Wonder Essence. So this is possibly a slight cheat serum as it's actually a pre serum product but can also be used as a serum. It's a very light liquid, almost watery, that contains hyaluronic acid so is slightly exfoliating on the skin. This is a very gentle way of exfoliating the skin which is exactly what I need when my skin is feeling sensitive. I have been swearing by this product recently and it's become an everyday favourite of mine.

Lastly, it's Soap & Glory Scrubatomic Facial Wash. This is a daily exfoliating facial wash which I have been using once a week just to keep the blackheads at bay. The exfoliating beads help to remove the dead skin cells to reveal a brighter and more even complexion, my skin has been so dull and awful for the past couple of weeks so anything that will help to rectify this is going in my basket. I like this scrub as it's really quite gentle and the beads aren't too harsh either so don't irritate my already sensitive skin.

So they're the current skincare items that are slowly but surely bringing my skin back to normal again and I just can't get enough of them.

What products do you always turn to in a crisis?

  2. I'd love to try the This Works No Wrinkles Wonder Essence, sounds right up my street & I love This Works products. I know what you mean about regretting trying new skincare products - my skin is very sensitive & quite reactive too so I feel your pain xx

  3. Fab post hun, I’m still lusting after the Clinique SPF after reading your review and just need to try it. The S&G Facial Wash sounds great, and I like that the scrub is quite gentle :)
