#36 Sunday Sounds - Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Dry Oil

With its unprecedented concentration of 6 Precious Plant Oils and Vitamin E, this fast-absorbed, comprehensive formula leaves skin feeling satiny-soft and adds gloss and suppleness to hair in a single step, is how Nuxe describe this oil. I for one completely agree with this statement. It's a dry oil and contains a whole host of skin friendly ingredients...macadamia, hazelnut, borage, sweet almond, camellia and St Johns wort oils along with a bunch of other plant extracts and a few other carrier oils. It can be used on the skin, face, hair, dry patches and cuticles so it's completely multi use.

Now, I have tried my fair share of oils but this is by far one of the favourites. I don't tend to use this on my face, purely because I have targeted facial oils for that, but I do use on my body, hair and cuticles and let me tell you I am pretty obsessed. This, along with the Body Shop Polynesian Monoi Oil, have been the only products I have been using on my body to moisturise. You literally need only the tiniest amount of product to suffice for the whole body as it spreads so evenly and effortlessly. In terms of scent, I really like this but I know a few people have said it's a little too strong smelling for them but I personally love it. It really helps to relax me in the evenings and my skin is left feeling so incredibly soft in the morning when I wake up.

Having a multi use dry oil like this has meant I haven't reached for my hair oil or cuticle oil at all as this can be used for those things. I have also been popping a couple of drops in my bath as a bath oil, mixing in with my foundation to give a more dewy finish and also using it to shave my legs and underarms instead of using foam etc.

I absolutely adore this oil and now can't ever imagine using anything else. Have you tried this oil?

  1. I have a mini of this and I've only used as a body and nail oil, I need to try it in my bath as I love bath oils x

  4. Does the St. John's Wort affect the pill? I know that's one thing you're not meant to have whilst using the pill but surely it's very diluted in this?
