Antipodes Skincare

Antipodes is a relatively new brand addition to my skincare collection. I have recently been doing a lot of research into natural skincare brands and Antipodes came pretty highly rated so I took the plunge and treated myself to a couple of items that I had my eye on to try out.

First is the Antipodes Vanilla Pod Hydrating Day Cream. I've had my eye on this for quite some time ever since Alex at I Covet Thee mentioned it in one of her YouTube videos, so when I spotted it on sale at Feel Unique I thought what better time. Now I'm not gonna lie, the main reason why I was drawn to this product was the name 'Vanilla Pod'. I love vanilla. And honestly the vanilla scent does not disappoint. With 100% pure avocado oil, macadamia nut, manuka honey and kawakawa it is set to be a cocktail of goodness for the skin. It's a very light but intensely hydrating cream that feels super creamy and yet fresh on the skin. It sinks in almost immediately and leaves a subtle radiance behind that gives that 'lit from within' finish. The only slight niggle I have with this product is that it doesn't contain an SPF but I'm just nit picking at that. Overall, I really like this cream. It's a great moisturiser that gives a deeply moisturising effect without the heaviness or greasiness of a rich cream, I have actually been preferring to use this in the evenings over the top of an oil to really lock in that moisture and it has been pretty darn effective.

Then we have the Avocado Oil & Rosehip Divine Facial Oil. Now this I love. You all know me and my facial oils, I love them. And this has been a very welcome addition to an ever growing collection. Containing a blend of avocado, rosehip, macadamia, ylang ylang, jasmine, sandalwood, orange oils and vitamin E it was never going to disappoint. It sinks super quickly and doesn't feel greasy in the slightest, some facial oils can get a little greasy/slick feeling but not this one. I only use approximately 2-3 drops per application which suffices for the whole entire face and neck and then follow with the Antipodes Vanilla Pod Hydrating Day Cream. Yesterday I wrote about my perfect morning moisturising team, well I think I may have found my perfect evening morning moisturising team with this little duo. After using this my skin is absolutely glowing in the morning, all redness has disappeared and my skin is left looking healthy and radiant.

All in all, I really love these two products and I'm so glad I purchased them as I reckon I have stumbled across two little gems. Have you tried these products or any other items from Antipodes? I'd love to hear your recommendations for this brand.

  3. O my word your face must smell amazing! I was totally drawn in when I spotted the word "vanilla" too but it sounds like you prefer the facial oil a bit more? I've coming to the end of my Clarins Orchid oil and this sounds like a good replacement.
