Recent Empties

So it's time for another empties post. I'm on a serious binge at the moment of using up loads of products. I'm going to be moving out soon so I'm trying to use up loads of half empty products meaning I don't have to move them with me when I go.

Lets talk hair. The Garnier Ultimate Blends The Sleek Restorer shampoo and conditioner are great for when my hair is feeling a little dry and flyaway. They contain coconut oil so are super nourishing for your hair and just generally give hair a healthy bounce. I don't tend to re purchase shampoo and conditioners as I like to try other brands but these are definitely a favourite. Then we have the COLAB Dry Shampoo in New York. I really like the COLAB Dry Shampoos as they don't leave any residue so are perfect to carry round in your handbag to touch up throughout the day. To add a little volume and body into my hair I am absolutely obsessed with the Charles Worthington Volume & Bounce Texturising Spray, this is a great dupe for the Oribe Texturising Spray at less than half the cost. I use this every single day and literally go through at least one bottle a month. This is definitely a cult product for me and will be forever re purchasing it. Then lastly we have the Lee Stafford Blow Dry Faster Spray. I can't even tell you how this stuff works but oh my does it work. It cuts my hair drying time down by a good half, I use this every single time I blow dry my hair.

So skincare and bodycare. First it's the Clarins Extra Comfort Anti Pollution Cleansing Cream, I used up a bottle of this a couple of months and said that I wasn't going to re purchase it as whilst, yes, I do like it, I don't love it. But I ended up finding another bottle in my beauty cupboard which someone must have bought for me at one point or I bought myself and forgot about so I set out on using it up yet again. The Dove Pomegranate Anti-Perspirant Spray is possibly one of the nicest anti-perspirants I have ever used. It's smells super fruity and lovely but doesn't go funny smelling when you've have a good sweat session in the gym like other anti-perspirants do. It gives great protection and I just generally really love it. Then we have the Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub, this is a sugar scrub which I'm not normally a fan of, I generally tend to prefer salt scrubs, not sure why, I just do. But I've actually really enjoyed using this scrub. It's scented with lime so it's really great to use in the mornings to wake yourself up. I used to always find exfoliating a real chore but I have been getting myself into a good routine with exfoliating every 2-3 days a week and have noticed a massive difference in my skin. Another Soap & Glory empty is the Heel Genius, same as with exfoliating I found moisturising my feet a real chore and just couldn't get into a routine with it but I have started doing it every night when I get into bed and similar to exfoliating I have seen a massive difference.

I have got loads of bottles of perfume at the moment, all of which only have a tiny amount left so I thought I would try and use them up as I have had them all for a good year or two now and was conscious that they would probably be going off soon aswell. So the first bottle to use up was the Clarins Treatment Fragrance in the Sunshine scent. It has a completely unique totally summery scent, the only way it can be described is...have you ever tried the Clarins suncare range? If so, it smells just like the suncare but in a scent form. With plant extracts and essential oils of Sicilian mandarin and grapefruit it makes for the perfect combination of aromatherapy and phytotherapy. I love this perfume and it's been perfect for brightening up some really dull days over our very rainy Summer in the UK.

Now lastly it's for the makeup. You guys know how much I love have the Clarins Everlasting Foundation so I'm not gonna go on about it other than this was the old formula and now I have re purchased the new formula foundation and love it even more. Then I've got a few MAC items that I've used as I'm trying to save for a new lippie with their back to MAC programme, so so far I've used up the Skin Finish Powder, Creme Cup Lipstick and the Eyebrow Pencil.

So they're my recent empties, have you tried any of the products that I've mentioned?

  1. I've been trying out the Colab dry shampoo recently and so far I'm really liking it. Great to hear that it's a good dupe for the Oribe because that's a product I've always wanted to try!

  2. I really need to start working through products as I’m going to be moving out soon and just don’t have enough space to take everything haha. I’ve been getting back into Collab and I love that it leaves no residue in your hair - fab favourites :)
