Three Makeup Staples

In my ever growing makeup collection there are items that have stood the test of time and I use on a daily basis, these items are complete staples within my collection and I quite frankly don't know what I do without them. Introducing my three makeup staples...

Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Powder, there are no words. If you're an avid follower of Dreaming Pretty then you most likely know much love I have for this powder. I have this in shades 30 and 40 as I use the darker shade for contouring and the lighter shade as just a normal powder. I just love this and can't be without it. It super lightweight so doesn't feel heavy or powdery on the skin and gives such a lovely healthy and radiant complexion. Also the scent of this powder is just...ah-mazing.

Dior Glow Maximiser, when I am going for a dewy/illuminated finish I always use this primer and it's the best of the bunch in my opinion. This stuff packs a serious punch when it comes to highlighting, you only need the tiniest amount to give your skin that lit from within look. You can also use this product over makeup as a highlighter for the cheek bones, brow bone and down the bridge of your nose. My signature makeup look is always dewy skin and this primer always helps me to achieve this.

NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil, in shade Cruella. These pencils get so much publicity and there's good reason for it, they are just dreamy. If you ask me every woman needs that perfect red lippie in their collection, the kind that makes you feel sexy and confident when applied. Well this is min. It glides on like a dream and stays put all day and night through eating, drinking, chatting, kissing, you name it. Obviously it's matte so is slightly drying but nothing too drastic and to combat this I just apply a thin layer of lip balm before applying.

So they're my three makeup staples that I can't ever imagine being without, what are yours?

  1. Mine three staples are probably Nars Sheer Glow, Nars Creamy Concealer and the Mac Mineralise Skinfinish natural. Honestly if they ever discontinue those products I'd be devastated!

  2. Gorgeous picks hun, I really want to try the Chanel Sheer Glow Powder and this sounds amazing as I love a powder to be lightweight :) I haven’t tried any of the Nars Lip Pencils yet and I’m definitely missing out, Cruella looks and sounds amazing :) Mine would have to be Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation, MAC Soar Liner and MAC MSF Powder :)
