#40 Sunday Sounds - Seasonal Makeup Bag

Happy Sunday you lovely lot! It's funny to think that this time last week I was in Ibiza relaxing by the pool without a care in the world, other than when my next glass of Prosecco was arriving, and now I'm in sunny old England, back to reality and back to the usual everyday stresses. As mentioned previously I am seriously busy at the moment and after getting back from holiday this week I literally haven't stopped, I haven't even unzipped my suitcase yet! To tell you the truth, I'm struggling. I'm struggling to fit everything I need to do into 24 hours, 7 days a week....there genuinely isn't enough hours in the day at the moment. One thing that has taken a big hit is Dreaming Pretty, I feel my blog posts aren't up to my usual standard because I just don't have the amount of time I would like to spend on it. So I have taken the decision to stop posting every day. I feel I would rather post less often and actually create posts that I am genuinely proud of and would want to read myself so starting this coming week I will be posting every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. I am also going to be including some non beauty related posts, obviously Dreaming Pretty is a beauty blog so the majority of my posts will primarily be beauty based but I just wanted to mix things up a little and throw an odd fashion or lifestyle post in here and there. I hope you can understand.

Anyway, onto the blog post. Autumn for me is all about rich colours, warm hues and of course a little bronze sparkle, so I wanted to share with you the contents of my Autumn makeup bag.

For my base, I love the Burberry Fresh Glow Foundation. It's a light to medium coverage so feels really comfortable on the skin and gives some serious glow to the skin. When it comes to Autumn I love a dewy base...who am I kidding, I love a dewy base all year round, but Autumn especially and this is the perfect foundation for creating just that with a light finish on the skin. Then to conceal those under eye bags I completely love the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer. It's a really creamy concealer with great coverage and doesn't go cakey in the slightest. Then to set my foundation I use the Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Powder, I love this powder as it sets and keeps my foundation in place all day but doesn't strip the glow away from my foundation.

To add a little warmth I love the YSL Les Sahariennes Blur Bronzer, I genuinely cannot get enough of this bronzer at the moment. It's so easy to apply and gives a lovely subtle finish to the skin. I tend to apply this all over my face unless I'm using it for contouring purposes, it gives a lovely subtle warmth to the skin without looking too over the top or like you have a sun tan as lets face it I'm not gonna have a sun tan in Autumn. It's a cream to powder formula so blends really easily and feels super lightweight on the skin. Then for the cheeks I just add a little swirl of the Rimmel Lasting Finish Soft Colour Blush in shade 010 Santa Rose. It's a really pretty natural rose toned blusher, it gives a lovely fresh flushed effect to the cheeks that's perfect for this time of year.

Then for the eyes, I have been using the Maybelline Color Tattoo in shade On and On Bronze all over the lid, I love this shadow. It's a subtle muted bronze shade that's perfect for any occasion. Then I just take a little of the Look Beauty Statement Eyes - 18 Luxe eye shadow onto my finger and dab over the top of On and On Bronze. These two work beautifully together and give just the right amount of shimmer and glitz that I can get away with until the 1st December hits. Then I just line my lower lash line with the No7 Stay Perfect Shade and Define Eyeshadow Stick in shade Velvet Truffle. It's actually quite a difficult shade to describe this one, it's like a very dark khaki green with a slight tinge of brown. I absolutely love this, it gives just the amount of definition to the eyes but is still really soft on the eyes and doesn't take anything away from the eye shadows. Then to finish off I just add a swipe of the Seventeen Va Va Voom Mascara, I love this stuff. It gives great volume and length to the lashes, it doesn't clump and it's super cheap.

To complete the look I have been using the MAC Lustre Lipstick in shade Hug Me. It's a really pretty nude toned lipstick with a slight pinky/brown tinge to it so compliments the look perfectly.

So there you have it, the contents of my Autumn makeup bag. What's in yours?
