So I'm just going to say it, this is quite frankly the most beautiful festive collection of 2015. Say hello to the Burberry Festive Gold Collection. Every product is beautifully packaged in gold casing and printed with the classic tartan pattern, within the collection you will find lipsticks, nail polishes, eye shadow creams, lipglosses, highlighters and a festively themed newly re packaged My Burberry perfume. After a lot of umming and arring I finally settled with the Gold Glow Luminising Powder in Gold No1 and the limited edition Burberry Kisses Lipstick in shade Military Red, however I could have quite easily purchased the whole collection.
There is something about Burberry that just draws me in, we all have those brands that we would pick over others for some unbeknown reasons and my brand is definitely Burberry. I know I can purchase anything from Burberry and not only will be excellent quality but it also gives that touch of luxury without the extortionate prices that other premium brands charge. Now by no means am I saying that Burberry is a purchase friendly brand because it's not, it's a premium brand with a premium price tag but I think the prices you pay are fair of the level of quality you are receiving. Also, Burberry is very much a British born and bred brand which definitely resonates a lot with me, there's a heritage there that I feel I should support and embrace.
So onto the products, firstly I need to talk about the Gold Glow Luminising Powder in Gold No1, this is just what dreams are made of. First of all, it's scented very subtly with the My Burberry fragrance, which just sells it to me alone and second of all just look at it. It's the most beautiful naturally highlighting product I have ever laid my eyes on. I have been using this all over my face as an illuminating powder (recommended by Gemma from This London Life) and also as a highlight on the typical points of the face aswell on the décolletage. It's comes in the most pretty little velvet pouch that even has it's own pouch or the accompanying brush which I may add is pretty blummin fantastic also.
Then it's the Burberry Kisses Lipstick in shade Military Red. This is a lovely bright cherry red that is perfect for this time of year in my opinion, it's super buttery and moisturising on the lips so doesn't dry them out in the slightest. It's embossed with the iconic Burberry tartan pattern on the side of the bullet and comes encased in the most beautiful gold packaging.
If you ask me, Burberry have got this collection absolutely perfect for this time of year. Also, one of the big trends of this Winter is the whole gold eye and red lip look which you can absolutely create effortlessly with this festive collection. Whether you're buying for yourself as a luxury treat or as a present for that special lady it's the perfect gift for Christmas, I would be absolutely thrilled to find this under the tree with my name on it.
What do you think of the collection?
