Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita Eye Shadow Palette

Waking up on my birthday in Ibiza opening this little box of goodness was enough to send any beauty blogger into a tizz. He's a good egg. After seeing so many reviews about this little beauty I knew how amazing it was but I don't think I quite appreciated just how good until I owned my very own. The Dolce Vita Quad is definitely the palette for Autumn, those shades were just made for this season.

Firstly, the packaging. It has a good sized interior mirror and well just look at that rose golden goodness. The only thing that I was a little disappointed by was the fact that the outer casing is plastic, not that it really matters but for the price you pay you, well I do, expect a little more from such a premium brand.

It contains four shades, all of which work perfectly at creating the ideal Autumnal smokey eye. The eye shadows themselves are stupidly well pigmented and apply like a dream with minimal fall out.

Prime is a shimmery champagne shade that is to be used all over the lid to provide a base for the rest of the shadows. I have also been using this in the inner corners of my eyes and also on my brow bones for a slight bit of highlight.

Enhance is a gold toned amber/rusty red shade and well I love this quite frankly. I have been using this all over the lid and also in the crease when creating a smokey effect.

Pop is a gold/copper pressed pigment, this shade just makes the palette in my opinion. It's the most luxurious of eye shadow shades and feels so incredibly buttery and soft on the lids you wouldn't ever believe it's a pressed pigment. I apply this by taking it onto my ring finger and then dabbing all over the lid.

Smoke is a khaki green toned brown with a slight golden shimmer, I use this in the outer corners of the eye to give that smokey effect and also on the lower lash line.

Honestly, I absolutely love this palette. I mean by no means is it an essential and actually I can think of other palettes that give you a lot more for your money but it's just so luxurious and those shadows are the perfect mix for my eye colour and this time of year.

Have you tried this palette?

  6. One of the eye shadow palette I'm dying to try. It's so pretty! Sometimes, bigger palettes can be overwhelming, you don't know which eye shadows to use. Atleast having 4 eye shadows in a pan make it easier! lol

  7. This is such a great one! I love every single shade of it. I try to use it more in combination with other eyeshadows and palettes, especially the crease shade I use a lot, as well as the red-ish brown shade to instantly warm up a complete look. The golden sparkly shade I don't use that often, it's more for a night out or so, but it's just so beautiful!
