October favourites

October is most definitely my favourite month of the year. In one month I have my birthday, it's officially Autumn, the clocks go back, it's Halloween and having at least 2 hot chocolates a day is now acceptable.

At the start of the month I went away to Ibiza for a week of sun and took the Seventeen Wow Liquid Glow Tan away with me and I used it every single day and night. It gives such a lovely natural bronzed glow to the face and I've still been using it since getting back as it gives a very subtle warming glow to the skin...perfect for this time of year. Another product I took away with me is the Antipodes Avocado Oil & Rosehip Divine Facial Oil. Containing a blend of avocado, rosehip, macadamia, ylang ylang, jasmine, sandalwood, orange oils and vitamin E it's a cocktail of goodness for the skin. It sinks in super quickly and doesn't feel greasy in the slightest, some facial oils can get a little greasy/slick feeling but not this one. I used it every night whilst on holiday and have been using pretty much every night since getting back. It makes me skin look and feel amazing and keeps it hydrated for this time of year.

To keep a little colour on my skin I have been using the St Tropez Self Tan Express Advanced Bronzing Mousse. I much more prefer tanning mouse's to any other tanning product, I just find them really easy to work with and I've found that they give the best results for me personally. It develops over a 3 hour period so I apply before bed then rinse off in the morning and I'm left with a natural and subtle colour to my skin, it doesn't look fake nor does it give off the tell tale aroma of fake tan.

My skin has been super dry recently so to combat this I have been using the Soap & Glory Righteous Butter. This is a lovely thick and creamy body butter, I tend to apply just before bed and upon awakening my skin feels super soft and supple, it feels lovely and luxurious on my skin and has the beautiful signature Soap & Glory scent to it.

This month I genuinely haven't been able to stop using Chloe, it's one of those scents that whenever someone wafts past me wearing it I know instantly what it is. It's my everyday go to as I find it so fresh with roses and peony, my favourite kind of duo. Every time I wear this someone always asks me what I'm wearing, it's so pretty and feminine and perfect for this time of year when you want something fresh and crisp for the daytime. It always reminds me of fresh bedding when I wear this fragrance, that just laundered type scent.

Lastly, I love a deep chocolatey type shade on my nails at this time of year and this Barry M version is just the ticket. I'm not sure what the name of this shade is as it has now worn off but it's part of the gel finish range and has a pretty damn good lasting power. The shade is perfect for this time of year and because it's a gel finish means it's super shiny and glossy.

So they're my October favourites, what are yours?

  2. I also love fake tan mousses as I find they are the ones that go on the best and give the best results - so natural looking! I love St Moriz fake tan, although it does have a strong tan smell haha xx

  4. I am exactly the same with Chole perfume. It's my absolute favourite! I smelt a woman in front of me wearing it the other day and I felt sad that I wasn't wearing it too haha! If you know any perfumes that are similar please let me know as I'm trying to broaden my perfume horizons! :) xx
