The Berry Lip

Who doesn't love a berry lip at this time of year. There's something so luxurious and romantic about it so of course being a massive Autumn/Winter fan I had to include a blog post about it. I have currently been loving wearing this look, it's just something a little different to my usual pink or nude lips.

To achieve the look I use the following three products:

Rimmel Exaggerate Full Colour Lip Liner in shade 064 Obsession, I use this to line my lips and also slightly fill in my lips. I always find when I'm wearing a deeper shade on my lips if I fill my lips in slightly with the liner then if the lipstick fades a bit I'm not left with nothing on my lips. This shade is the perfect berry toned lip liner so works really well for the deeper toned lippies like this one.

For the actual lipstick I use the Maybelline Color Drama Intense Velvet Lip Pencil in shade 310 Berry Much. It's a lovely rich berry shade, it's super creamy so applies like a dream and is a matte finish so has some serious lasting power. It's also a great dupe for the NARS Velvet Matt Lip Pencils with a much more purse friendly price.

Then to add just a little shine to the lips I use a Benefit Duo Ended Lip Gloss, I'm not sure what shade this is as it comes in a set (her Glossiness) but it's the perfect match for this lipstick in a gloss form. I'm not always a massive fan of the matte finish so adding a little gloss just takes me back into my comfort zone giving that slight sheen.
