Bobbi Brown Brightening Finishing Powder - Bronze Glow

So over the next few weeks and blog posts you will start to notice a recurrent theme of Bobbi Brown as I have recently really been enjoying using the products and have found myself veering towards the Bobbi counter whenever I go shopping.

One of my more recent purchases was this Brightening Finishing Powder in Bronze Glow. At £40.00 I did think it was a little steep and normally wouldn't pay this much but as I had a voucher to use I wanted to treat myself. I like to think of this product as my little pot of wonder, it's a highlighter, finishing/setting powder and eyeshadow all in one. It is subtle enough to be used all over the face, neck and décolletage but can also be used as a highlighter/bronzer. It has a lovely luminosity to it so just gives the face the illusion of a healthy glow, “Infused with a skin-brightening blend of mulberry, grape and scutellaria extracts, as well as sodium hyaluronate to help keep skin fresh and smooth looking”.

As already mentioned I have been using this powder as a multi tasker for face and eyes but have really been enjoying using it as a bronzer. I have just been applying to points on my face that would naturally hit the sun so cheek bones, forehead, nose, chin, eyebrow arch etc to give a lovely sunkissed look and then just pop a hint of blusher on the apples of my cheeks.

The packaging of this product is really something to be excited about, it comes in a mirrored super sophisticated silver compact with an internal mirror, and has a black material sleeve to protect the compact from any scratches or bumps. I absolutely adore this product and will be using all year round for either that summer sunkissed look or a healthy winter glow. All in all, I am so glad I invested in this product and will definitely be adding it to my forever purchasing list.

Bobbi Brown Lip Color Lipstick - Salmon

Hey lovely ladies, apologies I have been completely distant from blogging recently. I have just been absolutely manic with work and home life so not had a lot of time to concentrate on my blog.

I have just recently got back from a very lovely holiday in Cyprus with my boyfriend Nick and went slightly crazy at duty free...oops! One of the items I picked up was this lovely Bobbi Brown lipstick, I am massively into my lipsticks but have never actually tried what Bobbi has to offer in that area, I'm not sure why as I love their base products and powders but never ventured into the lip territory. And, I must say I am not disappointed.

I am really crushing on nude/neutral orange and peachy shades at the moment and this lipstick falls perfectly into that category. I find this lipstick really moisturising and doesn't dry the lips out at all, it leaves a lovely natural sheen so great for a day time look. In evenings, I have been wearing a clear gloss over the top just to give a more glamorous dressed up look. This lipstick looks great against a peachy bronzed cheek, I have been pairing it with MAC peaches in the daytime and MAC sunbasque in the evenings.

Being a self confessed lipstick hoarder I have tried my fair share of brands from budget to premium and I can honestly say this lipstick is one of my favourites, I am usually a fan of MAC however this Bobbi beauty has now converted me over as I sometimes find some MAC lipsticks to be quite drying. Also, it sounds silly but all the time when buying lipsticks I use it for a couple of days and then the lipstick seems to move within the case and gets squashed against the side of the packaging when twisting the product up, and you get these horrid scratches in the side of your lipstick which really is just heartbreaking! So far, I haven't had this problem at all with BB so this on its own makes this lipstick an absolute winner. I also love the girls at Bobbi Brown, I find all the sales ladies so helpful and approachable which really says a lot to me about a brand and this alone would encourage me to buy more Bobbi Brown products.

All in all I love this lipstick and will most definitely be purchasing it in several other shades that I already have my eye on.

Soap & Glory No Clogs Allowed Face Mask

I have to confess that I am not a massive face mask kinda person and the Sanctuary Warming Microbrasion Polish has been sat in my cupboard for probably a number of years as it was bought for me as a present and I have used it every so often. About a month or so ago I used the last remaining bit from the bottle so decided to buy a new face mask with the intention of using it once a week. I spotted this Soap & Glory mask in the three for two offer and decided to give it a go as it targets combination skin. For the last four weeks I have been using this mask once a week and I can really tell a difference.

To apply: As I am not the most educated of people when it comes to face masks I pretty much just slap it on all over missing out my eyes and lips and let it do it’s magic. (Tip: make sure to really shake the bottle well otherwise it comes out really watery and gloopy). Once applied and massaged onto your face, wet your hands and scrub until the mask turns blue then remove with a hot flannel or muslin cloth. Once all product is removed, rinse your face with cool water to close up your pores.

The mask does get quite warm on your face but it’s not an uncomfortable heat and only lasts a matter of seconds really so it’s not something to put you off using it. After using this mask I can tell a noticeable difference in my skin, it is glowing and healthy looking and my skin hasn’t been as oily throughout the day as it normally would. For £11.50 this product is well worth it.
