January Favourites

I actually cannot believe we are at the end of January, normally I really hate the month of January. It always goes really slow, pay day seems a hundred years away after being paid early for Christmas, no one has any money, I never have any plans but this year has been a little different. I have been busy pretty much every weekend with seeing friends and getting out and about. I have also been trying to be really good this month with food and I have lost 5 pounds so far this month which is massive for me!

Clarins Extra Comfort Anti Pollution Cleansing Cream

I had heard so much about this cleansing cream so felt that I needed to hop on the bandwagon and I'm glad I did quite frankly. With my skin being sensitive, dry and dehydrated...you know the drill I much prefer cream based cleansers to gel as I just find them more gentle and moisturising.

Superdrug Haul

So I went into Superdrug the other day for a new everyday foundation for work and I ended up buying all of this! Hmm, lets just say I won't be buying any more makeup for a while. I always think with makuep, it never looks like you've spent a lot but this little lot came to over £60.00!

February Wish List

February Wish List
I cannot believe we are almost in February! Crazy. Lots of things have been happening for me, Nick and I have been dating a little...very exciting! My best friend Lucy and I are looking at booking a holiday to New York and things are just really great at the minute.

#4 Sunday Sounds - Getting That Faux Glow

So it's January and everyone's depressed that they don't have any money, your skin is rubbish from all the alcohol you drank throughout December and the sun is just non existent. So giving a little healthy Summer glow to your skin is just what the Doctor ordered and these are my favourites products to help me achieve it.

Philosophy Microdelivery Peel

Nick bought me this peel within a gift set last Christmas, I have used Philosophy body products before such as shower gels etc but never really delved into the world of the skincare with them so I was a little nervous but also quite excited to try this.

Battle of the Brows

I am naturally quite fair haired so my eye brows often look non existent when they haven't been filled in. I always think eye brows can make such a massive difference to a persons face so it's important to get them right.

Illamasqua Once Collection Vintage Metalix Cream Shadows

Well aren't these just the prettiest little pots that you ever did see. I'm not often a massive fan of Illamasqua but I knew I had to get my hands on these beauties the moment I laid my eyes on them. They are little glass pots with a rosey gold screw top lid. They look ultra pretty on a dressing table and the product itself isn't far off incredible.

REN Daily Supplement Moisturising Cream

So after giving you an insight into my morning skincare routine I wanted to do a full review on this REN Moisturiser as it is just fantastic.

#3 Sunday Sounds - Morning Skincare Routine

Good morning all. I thought today I would bring you my morning skincare routine.

I like to try and keep my morning skincare routine quite simple with as little products as possible as most days of the week I am applying a full face of makeup for work and I don't want all of my pores getting clogged up with product and then for my makeup to just sit on top of my face. Also my skin is really quite sensitive and dry and I find the more products I apply the more dry my skin gets bizarrely.

REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask

For the past month or so I have been using this REN face mask once or twice a week instead of using a facial scrub purely because I have been finding facial scrubs a little too harsh on my skin lately and have not been helping with my dry patches and oily t zone. My skin is the most awkward skin type ever, I have never met anyone with similar skin to myself ever but I'm sure there has got to be someone out there. My skin is classed as combination as I get quite an oily t zone and then dry patches all over my face with oily areas under my eyes and eye lids, so finding products such as moisturisers and cleansers is really difficult as some areas of my face need more oil pumping in whereas other areas need oil taking out but they are all scattered all over the place.

The January Base

I'm just gonna come out and say it, I just don't like January. No one has any money to do anything, the weather is always horrid, nothing is ever happening...it's all just really somber and depressing. So after all the Christmas parties and heavy makeup a good base throughout January is a must, your skin will be crying out for moisture and hydration so be sure to keep to a good skincare routine and try to lighten up on the makeup for the month. Trust me your skin will thank you for it.

Clarins One Step Facial Cleanser

I received this cleanser as a free sample with a purchase a while ago and it sat in my beauty cabinet for a couple of months before I started using it. I just thought, I don't understand it really. A cleanser and toner in one and with my sensitive and dry skin I wasn't sure it would work all that well. So hey ho I thought I would give it a go and see what happens.

#2 Sunday Sounds - Winter Nails

There's nothing I love more than having a lazy Sunday painting my nails, drinking tea and watching films. It's just the whole occasion that I love so I thought I would share with you my current favourite Winter nail polishes.

ELF Blush and Bronzing Cream - St Lucia

I mentioned this product in my ELF Haul Post the other week, I have absolutely been loving this product. I had been searching high and low recently for a cream based contour product as I had heard so much about them but I didn't want to spend a fortune on the likes of Tom Ford if I wasn't going to like it. So when I found this little gem on ELF I knew I just had to have it.

Sudocrem Skin Care Cream

So today I am talking Sudocrem, one of the unsung heroes in my opinion within the beauty industry. It is one of those products that everyone has in their bathroom cabinet but lets face it it's not exactly the most glamorous of products. Chloe from Satellite PR got in touch with me a few weeks ago to see if I would be interested in doing a review and I jumped at the chance, any multi tasking products with a bargain price of only a couple of pounds are instant winners for me. Here is a link to the Sudocrem website: http://www.sudocrem.co.uk/skin-care-cream/

#1 Sunday Sounds - Soft & Gooey Chocolate Chip Cookies

So hopefully after reading my New Years blog post, you will know that I will now be doing a Sunday Sounds post every Sunday. This is my first Sundays Sounds post, so I hope you enjoy.

I thought a baking post would be nice and I racked my brains to try and think of something that would be good to do and I couldn't think of anything so I did what any other girl would do...I took to Pinterest where I found a whole host of recipes to try. I eventually decided on good old classic chocolate chip cookies. Here is the recipe link.

Ingredients
-200g butter
-1 cup caster sugar
-1/2 cup brown sugar
-2 eggs
-1 tsp vanilla extract
-2 1/2 cups plain flour
-1 tsp baking powder
-1 tsp sea salt
-3 cups chocolate chips/chunks

Method
-Pre heat the oven to 180c and line your baking tray.
-Beat the sugar and butter together until light and fluffy.
-Add the vanilla extract and eggs to the butter/sugar mix and beat until completely combined.
-Now add the flour, baking powder and sea salt to the mix. Mix gently until combined. You want the mix to come away from the sides of the bowls easily so add a little more flour if necessary but only a spoon full at a time.
-Add the chocolate chips and mix.
-Put dollops of the mix onto your baking tray and be sure to leave enough room for the cookies to spread whilst baking,
-Bake only for around 10 minutes until golden brown. Wait to cool and enjoy!

The recipe makes around 24 cookies depending on the size of your dollops.

ELF Haul

So I re discovered ELF the other day when online and I got hooked. Their prices are just so reasonable for such high quality products so I made a couple of little purchases and thought I would do a haul post for you all.
