Favourite Brands Of 2015

2015 for me has been the year I found my groove in terms of beauty. Previously I would just buy items because someone else had it or because it was pretty packaging, this year I have come to learn it should always be about the product. Whether it's got boring packaging, it's not a cult product, or it's just a drugstore basic; the most important thing is that it works for me and if it comes in  pretty bottle then that's just an added bonus. So once I found a great product, I looked further into the brand as 9 times out of 10 if I like one product from a brand I will like numerous. With this in mind I wanted to bring you my favourite brands from 2015 that I truly love; whether it's the philosophy, prices, advantages to my skin, the quality...the list is endless.

First up is of course Sarah Chapman. This brand was always going to be at the top of my list. Every single product I have tried from this brand has been a completely perfect match for my skin. Her products are a little higher in price than your normal drugstore brands but are pretty much in line with the more premium brands. Obviously it's personal preference and budget that dictates how much you spend on skincare but I honestly would highly recommend this brand. I believe skincare is all about investment, you wear your skin every single day so it's important for it to look good but also for you to feel confident in your own skin and this brand definitely did just that for me.

Another couple of skincare brands that I have completely fallen in love with this year are Liz Earle and Clinique. Clinique always used to be one of those brands that I always thought about but never got round to trying, I'm not sure why...maybe it was the white lab coats but since trying the Turnaround range I was completely hooked and have since picked up numerous items from the brand including the Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm which I now adore. I will definitely be picking up some more items from Clinique next year.

Liz Earle. I just Liz Earle's philosophy. Firstly it's a British brand so there's a slight patriotic pull but also her prices are pretty darn reasonable. It never fails to amaze me when I head over the Liz Earle stand in Boots at just how purse friendly the brand is. Secondly, it's a natural brand so you don't have to worry about whether you're putting a load of chemicals into your body when applying the latest facial oil.

In terms of makeup I have completely fallen for two total extremes this year. Firstly, we have GOSH Cosmetics. I absolutely love this brand, not only for the super cheap prices but also for the quality of product. Some of the products that really caught my attention this year was the lip liners, forever eye shadows sticks and forever lip shines. Then on the complete opposite end of the spectrum is Burberry. I'm not sure what it is but there is something about Burberry that just draws me in. We all have those brands that we head for when we want a touch of luxury or a lipstick for that special occasion or when we want a new foundation that we know we can rely on...well Burberry is my brand for this. I know I can purchase anything from Burberry and not only will it be excellent quality but it also gives that touch of luxury without the extortionate prices that other premium brands charge. Now by no means am I saying that Burberry is a purse friendly brand because, well, it's not. But for a premium designer brand I personally don't think the prices are that ridiculous just reasonable for the brand and quality that you are getting.

When it comes to nails I have always tended to buy whatever's on offer. I've never been too fussy at all but ever since discovering Essie in the second half of this year I haven't been able to use anything but. It is such a great brand and the quality is definitely up there with the salon brands at a reasonably purse friendly cost. I can get a good 10 days to 2 weeks wear out my Essie polishes before they start to chip, now that is pretty impressive.

Lastly, I felt I had to mention my beloved Charles Worthington. I have tried countless products from this brand and every single one I have loved. It's a purse friendly drugstore brand so is accessible to majority of the population but gives salon results every time. I feel a special shout out needs to go to the Texturising Spray which is by far the best I have ever tried and includes a number of premium very expensive brands.

So that's it, a round up of my favourite brands from 2015. I am very confident that I will continue to love these brands in 2016 and also hope to discover some new loves along the way.

What have been your favourite brands for 2015?
