Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

So a couple of weeks ago I found myself buying into the hype of the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water and purchased a bottle to see what all the fuss was about.

It claims to remove makeup, cleanse and soften all in one without rinsing. I know, sounds too good to be true right? It works by attracting dirt from your skin and pores to the molecules within the formula and lifting them away. I have just simply been applying the water to a cotton pad and wiping across my face to remove any traces of makeup or grime left after washing my face with an exfoliating wash. It is also great to use in the mornings to wake your skin up and leave you feeling refreshed.

Now that we are moving into Spring/Summer time I am really conscious of keeping my skin looking fresh and youthful to help with that dewy minimal makeup look and we all know that one of the main things behind this is a good cleanser. The Garnier Micellar Cleasing Water does this job just great, it cleanses and freshens in a minute leaving your skin feeling soft, supple and soothed. The fact that you don't need to rinse afterwards is just an added bonus!

All in all I am so glad I bought this product, I love how it has literally cut my skin care regime down by almost half  and it has made a real difference to the tone and evenness of my complexion which is great for the Spring and Summer months where I am wanting to wear less makeup but still have that Spring dewy glow.

With its gentle to skin formula this product is perfect for all skin types even sensitive and I believe is an absolute must have for all beauty regimes, costing around £4.99 for a whopping 400ml bottle this is serious value for money.

Let me know what you think of this product, is it part of your regime?

Lancome Professional Concealer Palette

The moment I saw this concealer palette I knew I had to have it, it's just so pretty! It comes in a glossy black case with a long mirror and brush to cover all uses.

Within the palette there are two creamy concealers, the one on the left being a pink/peach shade to counteract the bluey purple shade you get on the under eye area, the middle colour should be a shade to match your skin tone as this should blend into your skin brightening any dullness. On the right hand side is a translucent powder which you use to set the concealer, this helps to even out the area and prevent the product from sliding around throughout the day.

To apply, use the flat brush which comes with the palette to apply the far left concealer over dark circles, with the same brush you then apply the centre concealer to the eye contour area. Finally just finish with a dusting of the translucent powder over the whole area in which the concealer has been applied to. It is so easy to apply and plus the palette comes with a sticker on the inner mirror giving helpful instructions on how to apply/use if you do get a little stuck on which colour to put where.

With the palette coming in 8 different shades, you can find the perfect match for your skin. I absolutely love this little dinky palette, it is such a great size to just chuck in your makeup bag and carry around with you for any touch ups throughout the day however I have to say that when using this product in my morning makeup routine I haven't yet had to touch up throughout the day, the staying power of this product is just phenomenal. I have also been mixing the two shades together and using on small spots and to cover up any redness on my cheeks or nose so it is really multi-functional and shouldn't just be seen as an under eye corrector.

Costing around £29.00 it is a little pricey but my philosophy in life is really spending that little bit extra on some products really does justify it itself in the long run in terms of quality of product and staying power and also you don't need to use a lot of product for it to have a real impact so lasts a lot longer.

What do you think of this palette?

Clarins Radiance-Plus Golden Glow Booster

If you are a lover of all things Clarins and fake tan (like me) then this product is for you! The latest addition to the Clarins’ fake tan range is this Radiance-Plus Golden Glow Booster and it is a real contender for the whole fake tan industry/market.

You simply add a couple drops of the product to your night cream or moisturiser before you go to bed and wake up suitably refreshed with a lovely golden radiant complexion. I have always avoided tanning my face mainly because I either end up looking ridiculous as it has all streaked and gone patchy or I get a horrendous break out of spots but this product is pretty much idiot proof to use. The more drops of the product you mix into your moisturiser the deeper the tan gets, I have mainly just been using two drops just to give me an everyday nice colour. I find this also gives a great flawless bronzed base to work with my foundation and concealer as well. But when I want to give my skin a bit of a breather and not wear any foundation I pop three drops into my moisturiser which gives, granted, quite an obvious tan but because I tan my body pretty much every other day if I am going to go without makeup I need my face to be the same colour as the rest of me.

I think really though it completely is unique to your skin type and tone as to how many drops you personally would use, what would work for me probably wouldn’t work for my sister or my mum so it is completely down to trial and error. Experiment a couple of nights where you know you want be going out the next day so if you end up looking like Ross of Friends when he has his tanning disaster you don’t need to worry about being seen in public!

At £18.00 I personally think this is a really reasonable price for the quality of product you are getting, it doesn’t leave any residue as it is literally just sinks in with your moisturiser and works with the amino acids in your skin to create a glow that suits your unique skin. It is also doesn’t feel sticky or greasy as I know some tans do when applied to your face.

Have you tried this product? Will you be purchasing in the near future?
